Richmond OB-GYN | Bon Secours

Lee-Ann Parker, RN, MSN, CNM

Lee-Ann has lived and worked in the area between Richmond and Fredericksburg her entire life. After 13 years as a labor and delivery nurse, she obtained her master’s in nursing, specializing in midwifery, from Frontier Nursing University. Lee-Ann is a Certified Nurse Midwife, board certified with the American Midwifery Certification Board, and a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives.

Lee-Ann enjoys all areas of women’s health and obstetrics, but she has a special place in her heart for young mothers. She became a mother at the age of 16 and understands the struggles young women face when raising children and working hard to reach their goals. She believes that being a midwife is more than just being present for the birth of a baby. It is caring for women before and after pregnancy, from the teenage years through menopause. The most important part of her job is making women feel comfortable, safe, and confident in themselves and in their care provider.

In her spare time Lee-Ann enjoys reading, cooking, and outdoor adventures with her three daughters; Shawn, her “other half”; and their two English cocker spaniels, Beau and Sassy.
